Vermutlich ist es auf Veranlassung des Klostergründers Einhard (ca. 770-840) in Lorsch geschrieben worden. Das Seligenstädter Evangeliar ist ein besonders eindrucksvolles Beispiel für karolingische Kalligraphie. Sprache: Deutsch 4240 gr.
