Schöner Druck des "Rosengarten", des populärsten Reim-Prosawerks der persischen Literatur in persischer Sprache. Das weiße Blatt mit ausrasierter Bemerku…ng in deutscher Sprache zum Erwerb auf einer Auktion im Jahre 1910. Die Seiten durchgängig mit schwachen alten Wasserflecken, das Papier jedoch nur gering gewellt, so daß es sich um ein insgesamt noch gut erhaltenes Exemplar des seltenen, frühen indischen Drucks wenige Jahre vor Einführung der lithographischen Textreproduktion handelt. - A large book in quarter leather binding from the later 19th century and of French (?) origin with gilt edges. A nice and rare Indian print in the original Persian language, just before the invention of lithographical reproduction of texts. The blanco leaf with erased German note of a purchase at an auction in 1910. The pages throughout with some browning from water, but little rippled. Over all a good copy with just minor traces of use.
