Maintaining a high standard of literary excellence, Harper & Brothers managed to acquire the works of many of the world's most esteemed authors for inclusion in their monthly journal. As well as fine literature, Harper's presented some of the most attractive engraved illustrations of the time. BINDING - Solid. INTERIOR - Paper is unavoidably lightly toned throughout; there are a few creased corners; the aforementioned small stain follows through the first few leaves; foxing is evident on some of the first few leaves - else the interior is clean and presentable.
