Jahrhunderts wurde das Werk mehrfach aufgelegt und erweitert. Vorliegende Abschrift erfolgte wahrscheinlich nach der überarbeiteten und wesentlich erweiterten Fassung von Michael Schrick, die 1619 in Erfurt erschien. Einige zusätzliche Rezepte wurden hinzugefügt. Sprachlich dürfte unsere Abschrift aus Süddeutschland oder der Schweiz stammen. Brunschwig und Schricks Rezeptsammlung ist eine der wichtigsten Quellen zur Volksmedizin im 16. Jahrhundert. - Die Abschrift beginnt mit der Seite 3. Seite 13/14 mit grosser Fehlstelle und Textverlust und Seiten 419-430 mit einem Teil der Rezepte der gebrannten Wasser. - Durchgehend, stellenweise stark fingerfleckig.
