Text is in German and English. Focuses on the life and work of German entrepreneur, philanthropist and patron of the arts James Simon (1851-1932). With essays by Olaf Matthes and Bernd Schultz. Simon may be most known for funding the archaeological expedition which unearthed the bust of Nefertiti from Egyptian sand in 1912. The annotated and illustrated entries present a variety of pieces of artwork and artifacts from around the world.
