Soft cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Octavo. 146 pages, indexed. Paperback in gray wrappers. The binding is worn and bumped and toned about the edges. The front hinge is tender and there is splitting at the front hinge near the foot of the spine. Lacks the front flyleaf. Text is toned. Several sections at the rear are written by noted North Carolina figures in the Moravian Church, including Rev. Edward Rondthaler ("The Doctrine and Government of the Moravian Church"), Rev. J. Seller: Riverby Books, Fredericksburg, VA, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Hardcover. Red brown cloth over boards with black stamping on front cover; gilt stamping on spine. Title page dated 1881. Copyright page dated 1880. 483 pages. In fair condition. Covers have some speckled fading, with wear to cloth along edges and head and foot of spine, partially revealing bits of the boards beneath cloth. Stamping remains quite bright and unfaded. Covers remain attached by a thread, though you wouldn't be able to tell by outside appearance. Binding of text block remains secure -- no loose pages that I can see. Previous owner's name written lightly and in neat script on front free endpaper. Pages may have a small bit of foxing here and there, but otherwise are free of marks or tears throughout. Overall, a fair reading copy.

First Edition
Buckram. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 342 pages, this item appears to be the first edition; the author being a professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology at the Provincial Seminary of St. Francis so stated on the title page under his name. The book was reprinted a good amount of times even to the present day, and 1899 appears to be the oldest date. ( The introduction has that date, too.) The book does have stamps from Vista Wee Wa Untka Kt which was a Catholic camp and small church built in 1972 ( it burned down in 2018 so I guess it's a blessing I have it to sell.). and may have been in a private library there although there are no library markings on the pebble dark blue boards but a slight indication of a pocket at the rear. The pages are browning a bit but in general, a nice copy with a touch of wear.
