    Full Straight-grained Morocco. Condition: Good. 396 pp. Contemporary full straight-grained red morocco. Blind decorative border and gold stamp to boards, gold decoration and lettering to spine. All edges gilt. Front hinge cracking and fragile. Bumping to corners and minor rubbing to extremities, a few marks to boards. Ownership inscriptions in ink from 1827 to front blanks and some foxing to leaves. Engraved frontis and title-page illustration. Small format book - binding 13.2cm tall. Considered as one of the most important works of theological fiction in English literature. Literary editor Robert McCrum writes on 'Pilgrim's Progress': "there's no book in English, apart from the Bible, to equal Bunyan's masterpiece for the range of its readership, or its influence on writers as diverse as William Hogarth, C.
