Le Catalogue Collectif de France recense deux éditions (1882 et 1885), avec deux exemplaires pour la première et un exemplaire pour la deuxième. Cette édition de 1888 est probablement augmentée (la 1ère édition ne comporte que 139 pages). Ce manuel comporte 4 parties : organisation et fonctionnement du service des brancardiers ; secours à donner aux blessés sur le champ de bataille ; relèvement, conduite et transport des blessés ; guide des indications à remplir dans les blessures des différentes régions. Cet ouvrage est bien illustré, avec souvent des figures à pleine page. Victor Rozier fut l'éditeur attitré du service de santé des armées (Cf.
