Oblong quarto. (25.3 X 30 cm.) Printed in blue ink with a simple decorative border. The certificate was issued for 50 shares in March of 1901. Printed on one side only. Corporate seal next to the signatures. Not canceled. A couple of old fold lines otherwise in fine condition. This certificate was issued just after the rush and was perhaps for a company that took over a mine or was looking to expand an existing one. It is quite plain and only for a total of 100,000 pounds total shares. It was issued to someone in London.

Oblong quarto (22 X 26.5 cm.) Printed in black with a very simple decoration, on one side only. Issued for 25 shares of 150,000 total. It seems most people buy 20 to 50 shares thinking they will become rich! Not Canceled. Company seal on the bottom left and usual signatures of two company directors and the secretary. Few old fold lines but otherwise a nice example. I assume the name originated from Midnight Dome which is the mountain behind Dawson City. The purchaser was in the UK and I have no idea if the Company ever did anything or pay out any dividends or not, Still uncommon and a very good example with an interesting name.

Seller: Aquila Books(Cameron Treleaven) ABAC, Calgary, AB, Canada
Oblong quarto. (27 X 31 cm.) Printed in blue ink with decorative borders. The certificate was issued for 50 Pounds. Printed on one side only. Not canceled. Company seal impressed on the bottom right hand corner. A couple of old fold lines, otherwise in fine condition. Klondike share certificates are not common things, especially from the early period of the Gold Rush. This example was probably issued in London, one of the financial capitals of the day. A total of 450,000 Pounds worth of shares were issued with this example going to someone in Dublin. This certainly could have been one of the mines that Alex McDonald stacked in 1897/98. A very nice example.

Large folio document. (48 X 38 cm.) Printed in brown ink on two sides. Very decorative borders and a custom vignette illustration. Company seal in red. A single fold separating the dividend portion of the certificate. Signed by the vice president and secretary of the company. This example numbered 267. A very attractive item. As the Klondike Gold Rush turned into a long-term mining situation more infrastructure was needed to support the permanent population. This certificate seems to be for raising funds to support the development in the Dawson area. This certificate is interesting as it is for a fixed number of shares which probably support the smaller investor. It was issued under the laws of South Dakota but printed in London, England and for the investment in US dollars. Interestingly, the text is bilingual in French and English. The vignette is custom engraved it would seem as opposed to a stock image, costing much more per certificate. This was also a dividend offering with 16 coupons to be clipped to collect the dividend amount. In this case none of the coupons have been clipped which does not bode well for the longevity of the Company! Still a very attractive piece and something to illustrate the longevity of development in the Yukon.

Original share certificate of the coffee plantations 'Monsort' and 'Le Contentement', on the Cottica River, and of the former coffee plantation 'De Vier Kinderen' on the Commewijne River in the Dutch colony of Surinam, from the funds of Hubert van Hermaal and Van den Bosch, founded in 1769. The merchants Rocquette and Van de Poll are entrusted with the administration of the plantation. The share certificate was sold in 1869 and bears the relevant notary stamp in the margin. Separately attached are four printed and signed coupons as proofs that dividends had been paid from the company profits. An extremely rare commercial document. In excellent condition.
