Rough cut pages throughout. Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Boards have light shelf-wear with corne…r bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Water staining to spine and rear panel. Tape to edges. Wear marks, foxing and tanning overall. Heavier tanning to spine.

From the Library of Hester Sassoon [née Gatty], bearing her autograph Hester Gatty signature, dated 1925, on a preliminary blank Hester Gatty was born in 1906, the daughter of Sir Stephen and Lady Katherin…e Gatty. She met and married Siegfried Sassoon in 1933. Although they separated after the birth of their son, George, they never divorced. She died in 1973. Original blue blind stamped cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, top edge gilt, patterned end-papers.
