With the bookplate of the late Christopher Brinson, a collector of books on magic, researcher and author of works on magic (Arcady Press). The bookplate shows a sphinx with pyramids in the background and conjuring tools in the foreground including a magic wand. Some creasing at spine with slight chipping at spine ends and faint surface marking, otherwise sound, near very good with clean text and plates.

Previous owner's stamp on title page and serveral pages throughout. Gently handled, yet well worn at the edge and spine due to use and age. Some pages bear thumbing. Free endpapers and pastedowns evenly discoloured and bearing some foxing. Binding alittle loose. Spine is worn at the head and tail, otherwise this book is in fair condition. *We try to describe the faults of our books meticulously but they usually present better than they sound.
