Book is written in Swedish. Numbered copy no 177. Upper text block edge red. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Slight insect nibbling to final page of text and first plate. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Heavy tearing and peeling to rear. Book has a slight backward lean.

Han är inte minst känd för att ha inrättat Svenska porträttarkivet (1915) över vilket han utgav ett omfattande Index i tre band 1935-42.
