Slight loss to upper corner of half-title. An apparently unrecorded pamphlet by Polish economist Stanislas Skarynski responding to Tolstoy's essay The Slavery of Our Times (1900). Inspired by Tolstoy's contention that in a society founded on violence one is either enslaved or a slave-owner, Skarzynski considers the possibility of transforming society through granting freedom to modern enslaved, peasants, and workers, whist exploring how societal change may be effected peaceably. Size: 8vo.
