Snell (1859-1939) war einer der Söhne von Ludwig S., dem langjährigen Leiter der Hildesheimer Anstalt und Begründer der "landwirtschaftlichen Colonie" in Einum, die der Anstalt angeschlossen war. Er arbeitete u.a. bei Gudden und behandelte mit diesem den geisteskranken König Otto von Bayern. Auf dem Titel wird er als "II. Arzt der Provinzial-Heil- und Pflege-Anstalt zu Hildesheim" bezeichnet, von 1901 bis 1924 leitete er die neue Anstalt in Lüneburg Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 222 20 x 13cm, mod.
