VD 16 S 8181; Vischer C 1115; Rudolphi 843. - Der Autor, Wigand Spanheim (gest. 1620) aus der Oberpfalz, Theologe, war der Vorfahr der Gelehrtenfamilie Friedrich Spanheim und dessen Söhne Ezechiel und Friedrich. Das vorliegende Werk bietet eine Übersicht über Weissagungen, angefangen bei Paulus. Der Autor zitiert u.a. Johannes Regiomontanus, der zum Jahr 1588 folgenden Vers verfasste: "Tausent fünffhundert achtzig acht, Das ist das jar das ich betracht. Geht in dem die welt nit under, gschicht sonst gross mercklich wunder".
