Provenienz: Aus einem Album des spanischen Thronprätendenten Antoine-Marie-Philippe-Louis d'Orléans, Duc de Montpensier (1824-1890). Gorin war Schüler von E. Isabey (1803-1886) und A.D. Héroult (1802-1853). Tätig war er in Paris, wo er 1846-1861 auf Ausstellungen seine Werke, meist Aquarelle, präsentierte. Um 1855 übte er in Bordeaux eine Lehrtätigkeit an der Académie des Sciences, Belles-Lettres et Arts de Bordeaux aus, wo zu seinen Schülern O. Redon (1840-1916) zählte. Das Museum von Bordeaux besitzt von ihm das große Ölgemälde Abd-el-Kader's Einschiffung in Bordeaux".
