No Binding. Condition: VG+. Ship was launched in 1921 byJohn Brown of Glasgow. 549 feet in length. She concentrated on the North Atlantic runs until WWII. When World War II began in September, the ship was taken over as an armed merchant cruiser in 1939, converted into a destroyer depot ship in 1944 and a submarine depot ship in 1946. She was decommissioned in 1954 and scrapped in 1958. Postally used in 1930 postmarked Montreal with a slogan postmark. Overall quite clean but some mild soiling from postal use.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 3.5 x 6" 34p. Stapled booklet in color pictorial wrappers with a stylized vignette on the front panel of the sun, the mountains and a totem pole and with a black and white photo of S.S. "Prince George" docked in a harbor. Illustrated with 15 black and white captioned photos, including a large one of the S.S. "Prince George." Table of Distances. Just minor dings around the edges, corners square and flat, a few interior pages slightly bumped at lower right corner, wrappers ever so slightly shelfworn, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. Filled with descriptions of places visited by the S.S. "Price George", as well as general information about Alaska. Date determined from contents which describes the S.S. "Prince George" as "new." It was put into service in 1948. Also, the dresses on the women look to be from the late 1940s.

Montcalm, dated April 1923, with printed cover showing the Chateau Frontenac, Quebec, and a Canadian Pacific trans-Atlantic steamship. Interior includes ship, sailing, travel and custom information; advertisements for other ships and services; passenger names and residences, and Canadian Pacific hotel advertising. A useful and attractive piece of Canadian Pacific and trans-Atlantic steamship ephemera from the early interwar period. 7 x 5 inches, 26 pp, excluding covers. Included with the booklet is an original Canadian Pacific postcard depicting the S.S. Montrose, published by Canadian Pacific (Sales Department). A desirable small lot of related Canadian Pacific ocean-liner material, linking immigrant and passenger travel between Britain and Canada. CONDITION: Passenger list booklet in fair to good only condition, with noticeable creasing, edge wear, corner loss, small tears, staining/foxing, and general handling wear throughout; still complete and entirely serviceable as a displayable and research-worthy survival. Postcard in good condition, unused, with moderate age toning and light wear.
