This is a solid copy that has had a couple of bumps. The covers have light corner bumping while the bottom of the spine has had a bounce (see pix). Otherwise the covers and textblock are bright, tight and apparently unmarked. It is not ex library. The textblock does have a wave and projects slightly beyond the covers (see pix). This may date from manufacturing. The bookmark is present and attached.

Hard Cover. Norman Saunders (illustrator). First edition, in an edition of 1200 copies only. Octavo, pp. xx, 722, [2]. Photographic frontispiece of Brown with facsimile signature below, and numerous illustrations within text. Publishers' chestnut brown cloth with titles to black panels to spine and upper board, with printed end-papers; in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket designed by Stephen Haffner. Clean, bright and crisp with no annotation or inscriptions. Dust-jacket very lightly creased at spine tips. A fine book in a near fine dust-jacket. First volume in the series collecting all of Brown's mystery fiction, with each volume featuring the illustrations from their first magazine appearance. The stories were originally published in pulp magazines including 10-Story Detective, Detective Fiction Weekly and Exciting Detective. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.

A bright and clean copy with only minor issues. There is some corner bumping. The title page gutter was archivally taped (see pic) and the hinges re glued. It is ex-library. There are two small stamps and two blank labels. The bookmark is present and attached.

A solid, ordered ex-library copy. There is a bump at at the top, middle of the front cover (see pic). A library stamp is at the top of the textblock edge. There are two small inventory labels inside. Some watery, white liquid spattered on the spine label (see pic). Otherwise it is tight and clean.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. 5th or later Edition. Near Fine condition hardcover book, no dust jacket. One Hundred and Fourth Edition. ISBN sticker on rear. Bright and beautiful gilt lettering on spine and front cover, slightest wear to lettering. Slightest bumping to cover corners. No shelf wear or smudging to covers. Very slight toning to text block edges, minute smudging. All books are individually inspected and described. Never X-Library unless specifically described as such.

A tight, clean copy with some minor qualifications. The back cover has some marking (see pic). There is a bump to the lower, left spine corner. The lower, left front cover also has a minor bump (see pic). Some moisture affected < 1" of several of the final index pages. One required an archival tape repair (see pic). It is not ex library and appears to be notation free. Recent copies of Jane's are overstuffed for the covers and there is a slight cock to the left which is likely a manufacturing issue. This is an elaborate explanation for what is a actually a nice book.

Hard to tell that this is an ex-library copy. It is bright, tight and clean. There is a small date stamp on each of the first two pages. A small inventory control patch is on the rear, fixed endpaper. It appears to be free of notations. There is a slight page alignment issue that may date to manufacturing (see final pic of the side of the textblock). The rear hinge was reinforced as a precaution. All of the recent Jane's are a bit crammed.

Hardcover. Condition: Vg. 907 pages. 104th edition. Blue binding with gold lettering on spine and front cover. Besides the listing of the World's navies, book also contains Ensigns and flags, Ranks and insignia , and a Pennant list of major surface ships. Color photos throughout. X-Library . ONly markings I can see is the card pocket in back and a bar code label above it. Light soiling to covers. Book is slightly bowed. Oversized. Priority and international shipping costs extra. A nice copy of a fairly recent edition. The bright covers only have a slight dent and mild corner bumping. The IHS Jane's books are overstuffed and one gutter has had archival tape laid in as reinforcement (see Contents pic). The textblock is clean and ordered without apparent marks or notation. It is not ex library.
