Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing. vi, 366pp with 12 monochrome plate illustrations. In black cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth on boards with a little worn, marked on verso and gently rubbed on corners and spine ends, spine mildly sunned. Some mild and occasional spotting on text block edges and endpapers; previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper, which is a little tanned, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, gently bumped on edges and slightly chipped at spine ends, and now protected in a Brodart-style wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.

Noskowiak, Sonya (illustrator). 4to., 38 pp., 382 thumbnail illustrations from b&w photographs. Printed stiff wrappers, which have a slight crease. Very good. Guide Series Number Five. Noskowiak was strongly influenced by Edward Weston and was one of his printers, protégés and intimate friends (1929-1934); she was included in the original Group f/64 exhibition at the M.H. deYoung Museum in San Francisco in 1932.
