Text in FRENCH. Volume 1 comprises The Civil War; Part One, Volume 2 comprises The Civil War;Part Two and The War of Cesar and D'Arioviste and the primary operations of Cesar in the year 702. The two volumes are matching bindings and the maps which required re-casing are compatibly bound in blue cloth with part original spine laid on (request photos) with some light damp stain not affecting images, light foxing. There is light wear to the volumes, rubbing to corners and with light foxing to some pages. Heavy/large item will incur high carriage costs. 7kg.

L'auteur cherche à rétablir la vérité après les accusations dont il fut victime selon lui dans l'affaire de la dépêche. Il fut accusé d'avoir supprimée la dépêche, de connivence avec l'Emperuer. Il raconte les faits qui se sont passés du 17 au 25 août 1870; et aussi les circonstances qui ont permis que, deux ans après, pendant l'instruction de l'affaire du maréchal Bazaine, une fausse accusation ait pu être portée contre lui.
