Jahrestagung des Instituts für Deutsche Sprache suchte zur Klärung solcher Fragen beizutragen. Der vorliegende Band dokumentiert, wie die deutsche Grammatik im Spannungsfeld von Regel, Norm und Sprachgebrauch auf der Tagung aufgearbeitet wurde: Zunächst stehen die theoretischen Aspekte der Problematik auf dem Prüfstand. Danach werden grammatische Normen und der Umgang mit diesen in der Öffentlichkeit fokussiert. Im nächsten Themenblock stehen grammatische Variation in ihrem Verhältnis zur Norm und konkrete Phänomene der Morphologie, Syntax und Prosodie zur Diskussion.
