Condition: Gut. 8°. 18 x 10,5 cm. [12] Blatt, 380 Seiten. Ausgabe in Latein. Pigskin binding of the time on 3 raised bands, richly blind-tooled with panel and roll decoration, brass clasps, and all edges stained red. Early edition of the work edited by the Lutheran theologian Viktorin Strigel, who had studied under Melanchthon and later held professorships in Leipzig, Wittenberg, and Heidelberg. Text in Latin. Binding with some noticeable rubbing, a defect and split to the spine, and lacking one of the brass clasps. Endpapers with ink inscriptions in an old hand. Pages lightly darkened, in places with contemporary ink marginalia, the final ten pages with wormholes in the upper quarter (resulting here in the loss of some words and letters). A good and still decorative copy.
