Sutner: Josef S., Dichter, geboren am 18. März 1784 am Zellbach, nächst Dietramszell (Landgerichts Wolfratshausen) als der Sohn eines Klosterschmiedes und Schlossers; wurde, weil eines Fußübels wegen nicht zum väterlichen Handwerk tauglich, im Klosterseminar seiner Heimath und dann auf dem Gymnasium und Lyceum zu München gebildet. Da ihm die Mittel fehlten die Universität zu besuchen und ein Fachstudium zu absolviren, trat S. als Schreiber zu administrativen Aemtern und 1809 in provisorischer Eigenschaft in den Staatsdienst, verweilte in der Cameralpraxis im damaligen Regen-, Salzach- und Isarkreise, bis ihn endlich 1830 unter dem Finanzministerium des Grafen v. Armansperg eine definitive Anstellung erreichte, starb aber schon am 18. November 1835 zu München.
