Mild tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Heavy foxing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine.

Firmly bound, illustrated card boards, decorated brown cloth spine. Scuffing on covers, wear on the edges and corners. No jacket. Neat gift inscription is dated 1937. The front cover shows an elderly couple in the front door of a log cabin with a cowgirl on a horse in front. The first story is, "A Cavern Calamity".

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. PAUL, P E (illustrator). 1st Edition. Something of a mixed condition. The boards are excellent - sharp bright and clean with colour pictorial pastedown. Inside the binding is heavily shaken, webbing showing, leaves loose, one torn. Three full colour plates present. Internally poor - but the boards are excellent. Book.

Hard back binding in publisher's original wonderful panoramic colour illustrated paper covered boards. Quarto 10'' x 8''. Contains printed pages of text with full-page colour plates and monochrome illustrations throughout, some of which have been coloured-in. Front hinge cracked and repaired, the covers have been protected in thick brown paper, now removed, and revealing a clean and fresh illustration around the book and with only very minimal rubbing to the corners.
