A pamphlet of an opening statement detailing the case of John Dormer, relating to him being seized some land in 1662, and the inheritance of the land. T…he land in question was Lee Grange in Buckinghamshire. John Dormer, the former owner of the land, was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons. He was also a lawyer, being called to the bar in 1636. John Dormer's sons, included in this issue of inheritance, were John, who was created a baronet, and Robert, who was an MP for Aylesbury and Buckinghamshire.ed Quite learned legal conclusions and precedents in the margin by an early hand. In the original paper wraps. Externally, generally smart, with light edgewear to the extremities. Some closed tears to the folds to the rear wrap, two being larger with a couple of smaller ones. Pages are bright, and clean, with marking to the rear wrap. Prior owner's ink and pencil inscription to the margins. Very Good. None (illustrator). book.
