Hardcover. Small 4to. Tan cloth spine with paper label and blue paper over boards. 82pp. Very good. Mild bit of edgewear a bit of soiling. Tight, decent first edition of this annual publication. This volume includes an introduction by Hay as well as McLaughlin's "Lincoln, the Constitution and Democracy" and Smith's "A Philosopher Looks at Lincoln." The title page also bears the modern ownership signature of James Hurt (1934-2010), University of Illinois literature professor and author of the 1992 "Writing Illinois: The Prairie, Lincoln, and Chicago.".
