Nach Klärung des Konzepts der analytischen Wortform im Rahmen einer Oberflächengrammatik werden die einzelnen Konstruktionen nach argumentstrukturellen und situationsperspektivierenden Kriterien auf das Maß ihrer Grammatikalisierung hin untersucht. Es stellt sich u.a. heraus, dass ein Perfekt mit 'sein' (im Gegensatz zu jenem mit 'haben') nicht als analytische Verbform gezählt werden sollte, ebenso wenig wie ein Zustandspassiv, und das Rezipientenpassiv nur mit Einschränkungen. Abschließend ordnet der Autor diese Ergebnisse in eine Systematik analytischer Verbformbildung nach typologischen Kriterien ein, die langfristige Grammatikalisierungstendenzen im Deutschen aufzeigt.
