Musrum is an extraordinary piece of late-60s mythography with a small cult following - it starts as a semi-Biblical and highly lysergic creation myth centered around its eponymous hero, Musrum, and proceeds into an epic conflict against his ruthless adversary, the Weedking. It was produced via an exchange of letters between the author Thacker, a Methodist minister from a town outsider Rotherham, and the illustrator Earnshaw, a teacher at Bradford College of Art (and an atheist).
