Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Illustrated Edition. 1st ed. thus. First published in 1908 in a different format. Thackeray's account of a trip to Egypt consists of 24 tipped-in color plates, each with a humorous tale; seven b&w text illustrations. Preface by George Ade. Lot "Lance" Thackeray (1869 - 1916) was an English illustrator, known primarily for comic sporting illustrations and humorous postcards. CONDITION: Very Good. Light foxing on outer edges and lower corners lightly bumped. Lacking d/w.

A collection of gardening scenes, and humorous indoor scenarios. Most are written on, some with postmarks and stamps. All in fine condition.
