'The Studio' was an illustrated art magazine and publisher of art and design works. This advertisement is one of the earliest known published works for the noted artists, Eric Ravilious and Edward Bawden, and is the first collaboration between the two, made while the two were still studying at the 'Royal College of Art'.Both Bawden and Ravilious are notable artists from the first half of the twentieth century, being renowned for their work as war artists during WWII.
