An die Direktion des Wiener Hofburgtheaters: "Auf das Wohlwollen Euer Hochwohlgeboren vertrauend, bin ich so frei ein von mir verfaßtes Schauspiel in fünf Acten Verschmähter Liebe Rach betittelt [!] zur gütigen Beurteilung einzusenden, ob es vielleicht zur Aufführung des k.u.k. Hofburg Theaters geeignet wäre? - Ersuche daher höflichst das gütige Gutachten mir durch einen gefälligen Bescheid zukommen zu lassen. Ich habe es schon vor längerer Zeit geschrieben, und bin zugleich so frei zu bemerken, das ich noch Nirgendwo den Versuch damit gemacht habe, es einzureichen [.]". - Der aus Österreichisch-Schlesien stammende Sohn eines Edelsteinschneiders kam 1820 nach Wien, wo er in der Graveuerabteilung der Akademie studierte. 1835 waren erstmals Miniaturen und Portraitlithographien von ihm in der Öffentlichkeit zu sehen. Sein Werk zeigt starken Einfluß von Moritz Michael Daffinger, den er häufig kopierte. - Mit größeren Randläsuren bzw. -einrissen.
