Schulz: "Der Verfasser der Betrachtungen gehört weder einer theologischen noch philosophischen Facultät an; dass er aber hinlänglich befähiget und befugt sei, über Gegenstände dieser Art mitzusprechen, wird Niemand in Zweifel ziehen, der sich mit seinem im Jahre 1820 erschienenen Euchariston und der vorliegenden Abhandlung näher bekannt zu machen die Mühe nimmt." David Schulz (1779-1854) war ein Repräsentant der rationalistischen Theologie.
