No Binding. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Date: 1955 (Re-issue from 1990) | Size: 16 x 23 inches | Artist: Tadeusz Trepkowski | || About Polish Posters: Beginning in the 1950s and through the 1980s, the Polish School of Posters combined the aesthetics of painting with the succinctness and simple metaphor of the poster. It developed characteristics such as painterly gesture, linear quality, and vibrant colors, as well as a sense of individual personality, humor, and fantasy. It was in this way that the polish poster was able to make the distinction between designer and artist less apparent. || From Google Arts + Culture: The Chopin poster has become a separate sub-genre of music posters, forging its iconography with successive designs that offer a new way of seeing or refer to one another. It was the Competition that launched the tradition of Chopin posters and established the path for their evolution, which with time began to spread to other festivals and events associated with the Polish composer, both at home and abroad. || Overall excellent condition. From a private collection, ready be framed.
