From the library of dinosaur and animal illustrator / artist Pat Ortega. Ortega?s name is neatly indicated at the prelims of most of the books. Her professional career began in 1978 with an illustration for Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine. Since then, her science fiction and fantasy art has appeared in Omni, Epic and Smithsonian Magazines, as well as Fritz Leiber's The Ghost Light. Pat's artistic reputation has earned the opportunity to be a research associate at the George C. Page Museum of La Brea Discoveries, where she has contributed her designs to many of their projects.
