How they mustered in war, where they worshipped. Valuable resource for genealogists. Also, setp-by-step of woollen cloth production in Devon from early cottage industry to Coldharbour Mill. By a quirk of fate, Uffculme probate records were in Salisbury in 1942 when Exeter registry was bombed, so escaped the fate of most Devon records. Condition: Slight crease back cover top left corner. Otherwise appears unused, like new, VGC.

Illustrated from two 16mm motion pictures by the authors (illustrator). Eighth edition, eleventh printing. McCrillis was elected into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in 1966. McCrillis and Schniebs collaborated to film the Mooselauke downhill race at the NSA annual convention in Chicago in 1932. This was the first American Ski Film ever made. And this collaboration quickly led to the creation of this ski manualone of the first technical books on skiing ever published in the U.S. "Modern Ski Technique" first appeared serially in the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine (1931-32) and was first printed in book form in 1932. Briefly inscribed by McCrillis on the ffep. Faint rubbing extremities, still near fine in very good, lightly toned and edge worn jacket, with some shallow chipping, in mylar cover. Full blue cloth, in dust jacket.
