Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. J. N. Stearns (Uncle Merry) wrote a couple of juvenile titles (including this one), but the majority of his efforts were devoted toward books with temperance related themes. This book contains a few full page illustrations and a number of text cuts. Chapters cover a variety of topics relating to birds and specific bird species. The covers are detached from the book, so this is obviously a candidate for rebinding. Pages are age toned with some scattered foxing and soiling. Two pages have marginal tear about 1" long and two pages have corners torn away (not affecting text). Offered in this condition because of its relative scarcity in any condition at all. ; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 210 pages.
