Spine of cover is split, with chipping to ends. Covers are pulling loose at the staples. There is a light horizontal "bend," not quite a crease, at the top edge of the book, pages affected. Otherwise the contents are clean and tight, no tears, no markings. A retelling in prose of the old Lord Randal ballad. The author, in the brief introduction, states that many editors have rejected this little book, but that he is offering it now to his friends as a Christmas keepsake.
