Adaptation of the 1935 feature film, "The Return of Chandu," starring Bella Lugosi, based on Principal's 1934 12-part serial. The second Chandu film, both based on the radio series "Chandu, the Magician" by Earnshaw, Oldham and R. R. Morgan. A supernatural thriller in which the magician hero, played by Lugosi, must thwart a black magic cult that seeks to rule the world. 1935 Christmas gift inscription on recto of frontispiece. Spine lean, top and bottom edges rubbed, several initials written in black ink on top edge of pages, a very good copy. A fairly uncommon book. (#162727).
