Add to basket12mo, pp. 139; early pink wrappers, spine mostly gone, covers detached. Supposedly the autobiography of Maria Mancini (1640-1715), princess Colonna of Palermo, but attributed in some catalogues to the abbé de St Réal (1639-92) - though perhaps mainly because his ghosted memoirs of the Duchesse de Mazarin (who was in fact Mancini's younger sister) first appeared the previous year, with the same imprint. There were other editions, but this seems to be the first: NUC records just the one copy, at Harvard. The imprint on this one - as always with Pierre Marteau - is fictitious as well.
