Essays by Tony Thorne, Roger Cardinal (whose 1972 book Outsider Art gave the field its English name), and Colin Rhodes frame a survey of classic Art Brut and self-taught masters, among them Adolf Wolfli, Aloise Corbaz, Madge Gill, Carlo Zinelli, Johann Hauser, Anna Zemankova, Scottie Wilson, Nek Chand, Howard Finster, and Mr Imagination, shown alongside Finnish ITE artists documented by Veli Grano and Erkki Pirtola.…
