First edition. 8vo. pp. 146; illusts.; a little shaken in the original cloth, minor soiling, in the original dust- wrapper, which is frayed along spine with loss, and with some internal archival tape repairs. The first part of this book comprises a translation of de Voligny's A Tunis, derrière les murs, published in Tunis in 1922; the translation runs to p. 106, with Douglas' A Tourist's Guide to Tunis following as Part II. Voligny s text offers a history of the country and its people, and details of their character, religion, and the like. Douglas provides information for the visitor, with suggestions for places to visit and information useful to the tourist. The book itself does not carry a date of publication, but the dust-wrapper has both the price and the date of the book.

La reliure, moderne, est en très bon état sans rien à signaler qui soit digne de mention. À l'intérieur le livre est en bon état mais les pages sont passablement jaunies. La couverture d'origine, conservée, montre un peu d'usure et les traces de deux bouts de ruban adhésif oxydé près des charnières. Pour le reste on ne mentionnera qu'un cachet d'institution religieuse sur la première garde ainsi que sur la première page vierge. Un ouvrage peu courant. ATTENTION : les frais d'envoi pour l'international (hors Amérique du Nord) seront réduit d'environ du tiers pour ce livre de moins de 500 grammes.
