Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. This is the first volume of a 30-volume set, Collection Complette des Oeuvres de Mr. de Voltaire. Quarto in full leather binding. Contains 13 full-page engraved plates. Text in French. Condition: this volume really needs some repair - the front cover is detached as are the first group of pages up to and including page iii. In addition, the rear board is nearly detached and the leather spine is badly rubbed; the spine is split between pages 182 and 183. The pages themselves are in near fine condition and all pages are present. Overall, given the condition of the binding, I deem it as being in fair condition. Pages: xxxii, 483.

Loose leaves. Condition: Good. Signed. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION; limited to 350 copies, this copy is #294 signed by French artist Leon Courbouleix; quarto; no date, but probably circa the 1930s or 1940s when Courbouleix was active; unnumbered loose sheets with color and black and white etchings; sheets are in cream wrapper with plate of Voltaire on front; marbled boards are protecting the leaves, but it appears that the slipcase is missing (?); marbled boards are in poor condition, held together by tape; minor staining to very extrems of pages, but no wear/markings to the plates themselves, which are protected by tissue guards. Text in French, translated from Turkish. Pasadena's finest new and used bookstore.
