Front inner hinge cracked, light foxing to endpapers and the odd smudge to leaves, small soil to lower front cover, light wear to edges with some fraying at bottom corners and some light bruising at spine ends, but still a very good copy. Poetry by George Frederick Cameron, William Wilfred Campbell, Bliss Carman, Archibald Lampman, Charles G.D. Roberts, Duncan Campbell Scott, Frederick George Scott, Pauline Johnson and others.

Presentation copy, inked inscription to recto of FFEP: 'To Viscount-Jellicoe with profound respect J.E. Wetherell, Toronto Dec. 8, 1919'. Admiral of the Fleet John Jellicoe (1859-1935) served with great distinction within the Royal Navy, being primarily remembered for his victory at the Battle of Jutland during the First World War - having been promoted to command of the Grand Fleet by Winston Churchill.
