Octavo, [4], 375pp. Teal cloth spine, title in gilt on spine, author's signature in gilt on front cover. Stated "First Printing" on copyright page. Solid text block, previous ownership inscription on front free endpaper, top edge dyed black, a very good example. In publisher's dust jacket, $4.50 retail price on front flap, chipping to spine, a very good example. Evan Hunter wrote many novels, primarily crime-focused, under other pen names, including Ed McBain, John Abbott, Curt Cannon, Ezra Hannon, and Richard Marsten.

First Edition, First Printing. Octavo, 54pp. Brown paper covers, title in black on front cover. Solid text block, faint foxing to spine, otherwise fine. Inscribed by Ann Petry on the copyright page: "Happy Birthday / with love . from Ann Petry / Oct - 6 - 1993." This book contains a collection of poems and short stories by various children's literature authors in honor of Francelia Butler, who pioneered the field of children's literature as a scholarly study. Signed.

Leather bound. Condition: Very good. The first English edition of The American In Paris by John Sanderson, originally titled "Sketches Of Paris," when published in Philadelphia in 1838. (illustrator). First Edition, First Issue. Twelvemo, [two volumes], viii, 302pp. [2]; vii, [1], 340pp, [4]. Three quarter red morocco, marbled boards. Marbled endpapers. Front hinge of Volume I starting, text block sound. Top edge gilt. Occasional toning throughout, a few extraneous pencil marks. (Sabin 76397). This scarce work by John Sanderson was first printed in the United States in 1838, with the title "Sketches Of Paris: In Familiar Letters to His Friends by An American Gentleman." It was published by E.L. Carey of Philadelphia. It is a collection of letters and travel reflections of a teacher and writer, John Sanderson, who traveled specifically to Havre and Paris. The work was later translated into French by Jules Janin. (Sabin 76405).

First Edition, First Printing. Quarto, 184pp, [8]. Black hardcover, title stamped in silver on the spine. Stated "First Printing, 2009" on the copyright page. Includes hundreds of photographs from filmmaker and photographer, Phil Griffin. In the publisher's dust jacket, $30.00 on the front flap, faint shelf wear, a near fine example. Octavo, 63pp. Pictorial wrappers, bound at spine with staples, title in silver on cover. Spine rubbed, lower corner and top edge of front cover lightly bumped, light shelf wear to front cover. No notations except for the previous owner's name on title page. A nice example of this Prohibition-era guide to wines.
