A deluxe edition bound in full cushioned waxed emerald cloth with gilt lettering, all edges gilt, inner gilt dentelles around golden decorated green endpapers, title page printed in red and black. Attractive head…and tail pieces. 12mo. Cloth is a little worn at edges, rubbed through at corners and at ends of a sunned spine, a couple of scuffs on front panel. Hinges cracked, not affecting binding. A little browning on versos of free endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A lovely vintage copy, would make super gift for an admirer of Whittier's poetry.
