Nur wenn wir ganz bewußt unsere historisch, geographisch und kulturell verwurzelten Eigenarten zum Ausdruck kommen lassen, können und werden die Ğhundert Gesichter Europas Gestalt annehmen. Denn dieser Ausstellung werden, so hoffe ich, Begegnungen mit Großbritannien, Italien, Spanien und Belgien folgen, ehe noch südlichere oder nördlichere Länder einbezogen werden. Ich freue mich besonders darüber, daß diese Ausstellung nach fast gleichzeitiger Eröffnung in Paris und Berlin, zwei Hauptstädten der Kunst, später auch in anderen Städten gezeigt werden wird, um damit auch weitere französische und ausländische Regionen an ihrer Lebendigkeit teilhaben zu lassen. Es ist aufregend und faszinierend zu beobachten, wie bei diesem Projekt Erziehung und Ausbildung, Forschung, Kreation und Vermittlung von Kunst auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen zusammenfinden. Es ist zu wünschen, daß diese vielfältigen Ausdrucksformen der Bildenden Kunst gemeinsam zur weiteren Entwicklung unserer Kultur beitragen. Das Schöpferische, das Kreative bildet hierbei das Herzstück und wer verstünde nicht, daß man den kreativen Menschen vor allem anhören, ihm zuhören und Mut machen muß, besonders wenn er jung ist?!
