Edges show light wear with light bumping to corners and wear to sides of spines. Volume 1's spine is darkened and has a crease. SEE PHOTOS. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, edges are lightly tanned. The books are split into the three listed topics. 279 + 268 pages.

Ink stamp of a masonic lodge is seen on the upper edge of the text block. Slight wear on spine where a small library sticker was removed. The head of both spines show wear. Tails and corners are creased and rubbed. Blank front free end leaf of Volume I has been torn out, and there is a large open tear at the top of the same leaf in Volume II. Both volume remains fairly tight and otherwise clean.

Text is clean and bright, surprisingly well preserved. The end papers have foxing and there is a sticker with the former owner's name on the front inside board.
