English sculptor (1791-1864). Dimensions of paper roughly 4 inches by 1 inch. In very good condition. Large, slightly smudged signature on one side in blue ink. Reverse, in different ink and apparently in another hand, reads ' may I presume to solicit your favour fo | as increasing Age naturally brings on in'. Image on application.

Behnes (died 1864) was a sculptor of high renown. Ross (1794-1860) was a miniature painter whose work includes portraits of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Paper dimensions roughly 4 1/2 inches by 2 inches. In good condition. Reads 'William Behnes | W. C. Ross'. On verso 'my Apartments, should | to the utmost of my hop | be inadequate to extricat '.

Behnes (died 1864) was a sculptor, and Robins (1778-1847) a flamboyant auctioneer. Very good, on piece of paper roughly two inches by three and a half. From a collection of Autograph Signatures cut from petitions to the Artists' General Benevolent Fund. Blank reverse.

Folded for mailing. ; Handwritten note, approx. 4 1/2" wide by 7 3/8", one page. Signed William Behnes. Handwritten date Febry 4 1836. To Alaric A. Whatts [sic] "I had not read the enclosed printed testimony before writing you the accompanying letter or I may have been induced to enlarge upon its contents but as it is you have my unbiased feelings and sentiments towards you." Article and second letter no longer present.

1p., 12mo. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper. Addressed to 'W. Behnes Esq' and docketted by Behnes on reverse: 'Mr Barker | painter'. The letter reads: 'Mr Bacon has written me to say that you have kindly consented to lend me a bust of the late Sir Henry Havelock. I need not say how much obliged I feel. Will you allow the bearer to bring it with him: - have you also a bust of Mr Disraeli? If so would you lend it me also. I will take great care of them and return them to you soon.'.

With, on the reverse of the page, an unidentified autograph letter signed.
