Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. William Benulis (illustrator). 1st Edition. 172 pages. Contents tight & clean, without any marks. In light blue, stiff wraps with only the title Triton and by L.Ron Hubbard on the cover and spine (no publisher mentioned). Stiff blue wraps are in very good condition , without marks nor tears or edge wear. The dust jacket (which looks the same as the one on the hardcover ed.) is price-clipped. "$1.50" has been written in black felt tip marker at top edge. The jacket is very bright, clean and has a couple of chips off top edge. Flap folds are rubbed. At the bottom of the front & rear flaps, under the Fantasy Pub. Co. , the original Los Angeles address has been pasted over with a new address "1855 W. Main St. Alhambra, Calif. 91801" on matching tan paper. This 6 digit zip code places the jacket after 1963, but 1949 is on the title page and the copyright page. I assume this is a first paper bound edition in original 1949 DJ, then used after Publisher changed locations. I wonder if this blue wraps edition could be a prototype, made before the hard cover ed.? Either way, this is a rare title in this form. Please "Ask Bookseller" if this is available before ordering.
