Willmann hatte von seinen Aufnahmen dieses Jahres mehr als tausend analoge Prints auf diesem Material herstellen lassen, diese aber erst wieder nach etwa zehn Jahren zur Hand genommen und das vorliegende Buch daraus entwickelt.'Blitz und Enzianblau' versammelt Fotografien, die nicht nur die Oberfläche der Welt zeigen, sondern auch vom Medium Fotografie selbst erzählen - von seinen ganz eigenen Möglichkeiten, der Welt in ihrer Schönheit, ihrer Hässlichkeit und Vergänglichkeit als Bilder Präsenz zu verleihen.
